Hi! I'm Michele.
I grew up in a home constantly filled with good food, wine, company and laughter. I loved watching my mother host parties, twinkling around the room, as her guests got lost in the evening. Her motto was always:
“Whether you are hosting for 1 person or 20, always light the candles, put on the music and make it a special occasion.”
In college, I studied Fine Arts and Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing at The Fashion Institute of Technology. I have been lucky enough to have a wonderful career in New York City doing product development in the beauty industry. It is a job that I love, being able to make and create beautiful things.
I spend my free time and weekends experimenting with recipes, inventing new cocktails and having friends over for parties and events. It’s a different type of creativity. It’s creating an experience for people.
I also love to travel. Travel for me is not just about spending time in a beautiful place. It’s about what you bring home with you. I love bringing inspiration from trips into my cooking, hosting and decor.
My husband and I live in Litchfield County, Connecticut with our new baby and Bernese Mountain Dog. Whether I’m making dinner for just the two of us after work, or hosting a dinner party on a Saturday night, it is always a special occasion!
