Croissant Breakfast Strata

Ingredients:

4 croissants (day old ones are best for this!)
3 eggs
6 slices of ham or prosciutto, cut into medium sized pieces
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
Everything bagel seasoning (Optional. You can also substitute salt & pepper)
Non-stick cooking spray

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Tear croissants into small pieces and place on a sheet pan. Toast these in the oven for 6-8 minutes until they are crispy. Remove from oven and set aside. Spray baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Scramble eggs and mix with milk, cream and a few shakes of seasoning or salt and pepper. Place a layer of croissant pieces in baking dish. Add a layer of ham or prosciutto and cheese. Place additional croissant pieces on top and layer with more ham and cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used.

Pour egg mixture on top and sprinkle with additional seasoning. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
